Our Green Commitment
Dr. Andres Herrera and his staff are fully committed to reducing the consumption of natural resources and to minimize our carbon footprint. We strive to deliver a state of the art treatment to all our patients using materials wisely and economically and to recycle what we can to benefit our Californian ecosystem and community that supports us, without compromising the delivery of an excellent clinical treatment.
We are committed to reduce waste and the impact of our practice on the environment:
Paper usage has been significantly reduced over the past two years and it is our goal to become a paper-free practice with electronic medical records. In the mean time, many of the old paper based transactions have been updated and are now conducted electronically and some of our clinical notes and records are produced and stored electronically.
Our state of the art radiographic equipment not only delivers some of the highest diagnostic images, but significantly reduces the amount of radiation exposure to the patient and our staff. In addition, our digital x-ray machines eliminated the use and waste-handling needs of harmful chemicals normally associated with the processing and developing of regular film-based x-rays.
The electrical usage has been reduced with the use of compact fluorescent bulbs in most of the areas in our practice.
